ResourcesHSG274 check guide

The routine checks, in one table.

The hot and cold water checks from HSE’s HSG274 Part 2, Table 2.1, as Ecohydro’s templates set them up. They are defaults: your risk assessment sets the frequency for your buildings.

Reading the table

  • Defaults, not rules

HSG274 says the risk assessment decides how often each check is done. Every template can be changed, with the reason recorded.

  • Rotations

Representative outlets are checked a few at a time, so every outlet is covered once a year without checking them all each month.

  • Where HSE sets no frequency

For representative outlets and TMVs the table gives no interval. Our default is marked as ours.
